TURAB have accelerated the process
Turkish-Arab Countries Businessmen’s Asssociation (TURAB) which was founded in order to contribute to strenghten industrial, economical and friendly relations continues its studies so asto contribute to the country’s economy with its activities by accelerating the process.
Following information should be taken into consideration in order to understand TURAB better as it functions as a bridge in terms of relations.The total population of 29 countries who take place in TURAB’s field of interest is 460 million.This number corresponds to 7% of world population.Turkish Republic shoulders the responsability and privilege as being the second country among these countries with 70 million population.
TURAB is interested in 6 friend and neighbour Turkish States, 22 Arap Countries.Turkey is a part of European Union but it is also a Middle East country.
Thanks to our country’s geographical, geopolitical situation and entrepreneurial spirit, the importance of Turkey have increased unprecedentedly in Middle Asia, Middle East, North Africa and Gulf Countries.
For instance, the construction services of Turkey between the dates 1972-2007 have reached 19 milliard dollars.In addition, it is foreseen that a big part of world energy which is projected to increase by %50 in 25 years will be provided from our region.
Our country is an important partner of especially Middle East, North Africa and Gulf Countries ‘economy.
The countries around our geography trust the Turkish republic’s future and they have also proved their confidence by participating privatization projects.Turkey is at the beginning of reconstruction process.
TURAB have declared its opinion about the development of trade relations between Turkish-Arab countries to the business sector and public opinion during international meetings in accordance with its mission.
Turkish-Arab countries businessmen should primarily give importance to mutual business and investment cooperations in order to evaluate their own resources and trade potential.
The existing energy, water and wind resources in Turkish-Arab countries should be primarily evaluated for the benefit of Turkish Arab public who possesses world peace and regional peace. The existing investment projects concerning industry,tourism and health sector in Turkish-Arab countries should be supported by the businessmen as a result of mutual solidarity in convenient competition environment; legal conditions should be facilitated in order to provide cooperation and association.
”Common Chamber of Commerce of Turkish-Arab Countries should be established and they should have the chance to exchange information by the help of technology. The visa application between Turkish-Arab countries should be abolished.Free trade agreements between Turkish Arab countries should totally be completed.

Part 1. Association Rules
Association
Article 01 |
Association Name: TURKISH-ARAB BUSINESSMEN ASSOCIATION
Abbreviated Name: TURAB
Head Office: Mersin/Turkey
Once deemed necessary, by a General Council resolution, the Association may open branches at other places in accordance with the Associations Law.

OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSOCIATION

Under the light of the saying of great leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk "Peace at Home, Pease in the World" and in accordance with the principles of the constitution of the Turkish Republic, in order to realize the commercial, cultural and social rapprochement between Turkey and the Arab Countries and manage the businesses whether alone or in collaboration with the individuals and public and private institutions that would strengthen the deep relations of brotherhood between the Arabs and the Turks.

IN ORDER TO REALIZE ITS OBJECTIVES, THE ASSOCIATION SHALL DO THE FOLLOWING:

Provide the commercial media, Businessmen and commercial corporations both in Arab countries and Turkey with opinions in the commercial, economic, financial, industrial and similar matters and assist them in realizing these works and projects.
a) Establish and enter into relationships with the social and commercial institutions in the Arab countries and Turkey, furnish its members with commercial facilities and possibilities, secure communication among them in the subjects fitting the Association objectives,
b) Strengthen the relations of friendship and understanding and the businesses established upon the common interests of commercial media, Businessmen and commercial corporations both in Arab countries and Turkey and among the Associatiom members,
c) Assist the members in developing their businesses through exchanging information and ideas and participating in the businesses with the commercial and business media in the Arab countries and Turkey, develop the social and commercial knowledge among the members and provide business cooperation in order to reach a progressed society,
d) Act in accordance with the Association objectives and execute works in order to create the ideological and dynamic unity in both the practical, social and cultural lives that go in harmony with the Association aims,
e) In order to strengthen the international competition power of our country and its position of Turkey in the economic arena in the Arab courties, the Association acts as reminder and guide for the manufacturing products and services of international standards,
f) Perform researches in economical, cultural, historical and social issues in the Turkish and Arab communities and set up special committees dealing with such aspects,
g) In order to have the Turkish and Arab societies closer to one onother, the Association prepares, releases and issues printed and verbal materials and educational films,
h) Organize conferences, public debates, educational seminars, contests, parties and festivals, open exhibitions and night programs in order to introduce and provide information about the Arab and Turkish communities and the nature, history, culture and cultural heritage these communities have,
ı) Coordinate with and assist, follow and take care of the Arab Businessmen during their commercial or tourism visits to Turkey or their wish to reside in Turkey and provide same services to the Turkish Businessmen willing to travel to the Arab countries,
i) Provided that, all legal procedures are complied with, Association organizes commercial, tourism, social and cultural journeys in Turkey and Arab countries,
j) Exchange information and knowledge in educational, scientific, technological and other aspects and make researches with the Arab and Turkish universities. Encourage the Arabic language Cources and Institutes in Turkey and Turkish language Cources and Institutes in the Arab countries. Organize, implement and administrate such courses,
k) Organize cultural and social activities and participate in all fairs and exhibitions to facilitate that Association members establish better business relations by providing information to the members' issues and develop the commercial relations and commercial unity and create interactive relationships between the members and inform its members about the fairs held in the other foreign countries. Provide the collective subscription in case necessity calls so,
l) Open offices or agencies or representation offices, commercial centers at both sides upon obtaining the needed licenses and permissions from the Prime Minister's Office by the recommendation of the Ministry of Interior and the approval of Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
m) Take advantage from the media and means of broadcasting such as radio, television, newspapers, magazines, books, bullitens, booklets, the Internet and all other developed media organs to announce its opinions to the public and relevant authorities,
n) Cooperate with other associations operating sahering the same objectives and holding the same mission, present proposals, encourage and promote the opening of friendship associations among the Turksih-Arab businessmen in the Arab countries,
o) Apply to the relevant authorities in order to facilitate the traveling of association members without entry visas or have some Arab countries request for visa removed from application to the Turkish citizens - Turkish member businessmen,
ö) Cooperate with the government offices, chambers of commerce and industry, exchange markets and tradesmen associations and unions, establish the common public opinion in the issues and targets the association works for,
p) Acquire movable and immovable properties in compliance with the objectives of the association, establish and acquire personal rights such as mortgage, easement and preemtion and other rights such as rent,
r) In accordance with grant and aid collecting law and this articles of association, the association has the right to obtain and grant aids and donations and accept provisional and absolute wills,
s) Perform all works the association deems fit and relating to its objectives and services,
t) Open and run a local where members can take advantage from and act to expand the range of association activities and the unity and cooperation between the members provided that, all permits are obtained beforehanded.
u) The association may issue resolutions to help the students who do not have financial support and grant scholarships to such students.
